Dismissed DSP Gursher Singh, who challenged his dismissal order in the case of gangster Lawrence’s TV interview, has again reached the High Court. He has filed an application in the court through his lawyer.
He has also demanded to make himself a party in the gangster Lawrence case. He has said that his life is in danger.
He also claims that Lawrence was in the custody of AGTF at the time of the interview. Despite this, it has been shown that Lawrence was in his custody. In such a situation, action should be taken against the officers in whose custody Lawrence was.
He has been made a scapegoat in this case. In this case, the High Court has issued a notice to the government and asked to file a reply in four weeks. The court has said that the reply has to be filed by February 19.
Gursher gave mainly two arguments in the court
Gursher’s lawyer mainly put forward the investigation points in the court. He told that AGTF was investigating the singer Sidhu Moosewala murder case. They did not have any interrogation center. In such a situation, he was kept in CIA Kharar.
In such a situation, he was always in the custody of AGTF. Despite this, it has been shown that Lawrence was in their custody. Which is absolutely false. Gursher Singh’s career has been brilliant. He has been honored.
Preparations were also being made for his promotion. But after his name came up in this case, action has been taken against him. The lawyer told that he had filed another application. After which two show cause notices have been issued.
At the same time, the government lawyer said that how should the government file a reply in this matter. He said that the SIT constituted by the High Court had ordered an inquiry. The High Court said that questions have been raised in Sandhu’s petition. Which needs an answer.
Took responsibility for the murder of Moosewala in the first interview
Lawrence’s first interview was aired on 14 March 2023. In this, Lawrence confessed to getting Sidhu Moosewala killed. Lawrence said that Moosewala was getting involved in gang war instead of singing.
Moosewala was also involved in the murder of his college friend Akali leader Vicky Middukhera, so he got him killed. According to the SIT report, this is the same interview that he gave from CIA custody.
Proof of making calls from the barrack in the second interview
Lawrence also gave proof of giving an interview from inside the jail in his second interview. He also showed his barrack and told that he is not allowed to go out, but he gets the mobile and the signal too. Lawrence said in his interview that the jail guards rarely come and go at night, that is why he makes calls at night.
Lawrence also gave information about the mobile coming inside. According to Lawrence, mobiles are thrown inside the jail from outside. Sometimes the jail staff catches them, but most of the times the mobile reaches him.
