A theft took place in the Palace Marriage Villa near Mullapur Dakha in Ludhiana, Punjab. CCTV footage of the incident has come to light. The thief roaming in the palace in suit and boots suddenly picked up the bag of the family of the girl who was getting married lying on the sofa and disappeared.
Dilpreet Singh said that he is a resident of Urban Estate Dugri. His sister’s wedding was at Marriage Villa Palace on Ferozepur Road. Everyone was enjoying themselves in the wedding ceremony. During this, an unknown person came to the marriage palace wearing a suit and boots. He suddenly picked up the bag lying on the sofa and silently went out of the palace. After some time, when the family started searching for the bag, the bag was not found.
The incident was captured in CCTV
On checking the CCTV installed in the marriage palace, it was revealed that an unknown person stole the bag. The incident was immediately reported to the police of Dakha-Mullapur. Dilpreet said that when the managers of the marriage palace were asked about this theft, they misbehaved with him.
Question on the security of marriage palace
Dilpreet said that the security arrangements inside the marriage palace have to be made by the palace owners. It is the responsibility of the palace managers to check who is coming inside without showing the card or without verification. But the marriage palace is being run without any security.
Jewellery worth 4.5 lakhs, 6 lakhs cash and 2 mobiles stolen
Dilpreet said that there were jewellery worth 4.5 lakhs, 6 lakhs cash and 2 iPhone 14 Pro 12 in the bag. At present, a complaint has been lodged with the police. The police have assured that the thief will be caught soon.
