Vikramjit Singh Vicky Middukheda was murdered in Mohali in August 2021. He had gone to Sector-71 market to meet his friend. The accused came in a car. As soon as Vicky came out of his friend’s property dealer’s office, he was showered with bullets. Vicky ran for about a kilometer but the killers shot him dead by firing nine bullets.
Three convicted gangsters will be sentenced today in the murder case of Youth Akali leader Vikramjit Singh Kular alias Vicky Middukheda.
Earlier on Friday, the court of Additional District Sessions Judge Baljinder Singh Saran, after hearing the arguments of the government and the defense, convicted gangsters Ajay Lefty, Sajjan Bholu and Anil Lath under IPC murder sections. The court has directed to acquit gangsters Bhuppi Rana, Amit Dagar and Kaushal Chaudhary due to lack of evidence. The court will sentence the culprits on January 27.
Bambiha gang had taken responsibility
According to the police, the day after the murder of Vicky Middukheda in Sector-70 on 7 August 2021, Bambiha gang had taken responsibility for the murder by posting on social media. Investigation revealed that Vicky Middukheda was murdered at the behest of Lucky Padiyal, who runs the Bambiha gang. When the police brought Amit Dagar and Kaushal Chaudhary on a production warrant and interrogated them, it was revealed that gangster Kaushal Chaudhary, along with Amit Dagar, had conspired to kill Vicky Middukheda while sitting in a Delhi jail. For this work, he arranged a car and shooters and sent them to Mohali to kill Vicky Middukheda.
The shooters had reached Mohali in an i-20 car near Tekchand in Gurugram. On the other hand, gangster Bhuppi Rana, who is lodged in jail, had taken the responsibility of safely transporting the shooters who killed Vicky Middukheda from Punjab to a safe place further via Haryana. When three shooters were arrested by Delhi Police several months later in this murder, it came to light that singer Sidhu Moosewala’s manager Shaganpreet Singh had arranged for the shooters to stay in a flat in Kharar and he had also introduced the fourth shooter to the three shooters. Shaganpreet Singh is accused of giving the shooters information about Vicky Middukheda’s house and his coming and going timings. He himself had also done a recce of Vicky.
