Date:

A teenager committed suicide in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. The body of a 14-year-old student of class 8 in an upper primary school located in Maholi tehsil was found hanging from a berry tree in the school premises. Subhashini, a resident of Sej Kala village of Pisawan police station area, left for school after making tea at home at around 8 am on Wednesday.

Left home without school bag

The shocking thing in the incident is that Subhashini left home without a school bag. Many villagers had seen her while going to school located about two kilometers away from the house. When the teacher reached the school at around 9 am, he saw the body hanging from a dupatta on a berry tree behind the classroom.

There may be family discord

The deceased’s father Dheer Singh, who is a farmer, had gone to Mohammadi market to sell Bathua two days before the incident. The family has four daughters and a son. According to local people, the student had earlier also talked about suicide in school. The police is investigating the incident considering family discord as the main reason behind the incident.

Postmortem proceedings started

The police reached the spot and after preparing the Panchnama of the dead body, started the postmortem proceedings. However, the exact reason for the suicide is not yet clear. This tragic incident has created a sensation in the entire area and the condition of the family is very pathetic.
