In Punjab, now people will be provided 406 types of services by the government at their homes. They will not even have to go to the service center for these services. Just have to call on one phone number. During this, Aadhar card, driving license and passport related services will also be available. This will benefit the elderly and working people.
Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora launched these services in Chandigarh today. Earlier only 43 types of services were being provided to the people.
People will get these types of services
A total of 406 services related to 29 major departments will be provided by the government. These services include driving license, passport application, police verification, utility connection, NOC from district officials, tenant verification and many other services. The purpose of expanding 363 more services is to ensure that essential government services can be provided to the citizens without any delay or unnecessary paperwork. For this, a call has to be made to number 1076.
All services will be available in time
The minister said that a fixed time limit has been set for all the services. At the same time, now the focus will be on whether people are getting the benefit of that service or not. To make the delivery of services more effective, citizens are being encouraged to give feedback through this scheme.
So far, more than 12.95 lakh citizens have rated these services, due to which these services have received an average rating of 4.1 out of 5. So far, more than 77 lakh certificates have been distributed in digital form. People are now receiving government certificates directly on their mobile phones, saving both their time and money. Apart from this, applications are being processed online by Patwaris, Sarpanchs, Numberdars and Municipal Corporation officials.
