A tenant in the IT Park police station area of Chandigarh committed obscene acts with an innocent 5-year-old girl. Accused Rahul lured the girl with a toffee and started molesting her. The incident happened when the girl’s father had gone to duty. Accused Rahul, who was living as a tenant in the same house, took advantage of this opportunity.
The girl’s mother caught the accused red-handed. However, he fled from the spot. The girl’s mother got suspicious seeing her daughter’s nervousness and when asked, the girl told the whole incident. The family immediately informed the police.
The police took immediate action and got the girl medically examined and registered a case against the accused under the POCSO Act. The police have arrested accused Rahul and further investigation is underway.
