The Kisan Andolan 2.0, which has been going on since February 13, 2024 at Shambhu and Khanauri border of Punjab-Haryana, is about to complete one year. The farmers are scheduled to meet the central government in Chandigarh on February 14. Before the meeting, the farmers are preparing to demonstrate their strength. Regarding this, three mahapanchayats will be held in Punjab from February 11 today. The first mahapanchayat of farmers will be held at Ratanpur border.
On the other hand, the hunger strike of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has entered the 78th day. He has started taking medical assistance after 7 days. On Tuesday, the farmers are also going to hold a press conference in Bathinda. Some new decisions can be taken in this.
Kohad spoke on the problem faced by Dallewal
Farmer leader Abhimanyu Kohad said that Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s medical assistance was stopped for the last seven days. The reason for this was that whenever he was given a drip. The vein was getting blocked in 48 to 72 hours. He was being given medical assistance for 20 to 22 days. At the same time, the veins of both his hands were blocked. No vein was found.
However, teams of senior doctors were present. His medical assistance has started at 6.15 pm. He is physically weak, but strong from within. He says that the farmers will strongly put forward their side in the meeting with the central government.
Case registered against farmers in PM security lapse case
Just before the assembly elections in Punjab, when there was a Congress government led by Charanjit Singh Channi in the state. At that time, the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi had come to Punjab on a tour. There was a lapse in his security in Ferozepur. At that time this matter took a political turn. Many senior police officers were reprimanded. The matter went to the court.
At the same time, now after two years, cases have been registered against the farmers in this case. In protest against this, today the Bharatiya Kisan Union Krantikari, an organization involved in the United Kisan Non-Political, has decided to surround the SSP office of Ferozepur. The farmers will reach there at 10 am.
The farmers allege that the farmers did not reach close to the PM. Only BJP workers were gathered there. False FIRs have been registered against the farmers.
This is the strategy of the farmers going forward –
1. Farmers will hold a mahapanchayat on 12 February at Khanauri border and on 13 February at Shambhu border.
2. On 12 February, farmers of Shambhu and Khanauri front will hold a meeting with SKM in Chandigarh on the proposal of unity.
3. On the 14th, farmers will have a meeting with the central government in Sector-26 of Chandigarh.
4. If this dialogue does not move forward or the dialogue fails, then the farmers will march to Delhi on 25 February.
