A case of getting a job in Punjab Police with the help of fake certificate has come to light. This was revealed during the verification of certificate in Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). After investigation, PSEB has blacklisted the said person in its records. The certificate has been confiscated. Also, its report has been sent to the police in this regard. Now further action will be taken by the police in this regard.
The certificate was made in Ludhiana
According to the information, this certificate was sent by the police for investigation. The certificate was of class 10th and was related to Ludhiana district. When it was investigated by PSEB, it was found that in the year 2014 this roll number was not issued by PSEB to any student named Manpreet Singh. Due to which it is clear that the certificate is fake. In such a situation, action has been taken to confiscate the certificate.
Two thousand certificates come for investigation every month
Every month more than two thousand certificates come to PSEB for verification. In 5 years, more than 50 fake certificates have been caught in the investigation. Whereas every year around seven lakh students appear in the 10th and 12th class exams in PSEB. PSEB is working on the lines of big boards.
