The youth of Ferozepur told that once, just like today, India had defeated Pakistan in a cricket match. Some enthusiastic youth of the village located on the India-Pakistan border in Punjab started celebrating. The celebration was so much that they reached Hussaini Wala border, challenging Pakistan in enthusiasm, because India and Pakistan lie face to face on this border and in the surrounding areas. To avoid the situation from deteriorating, BSF and police took control of the situation and chased everyone away by using lathis. People of this area, which is situated on the India-Pakistan border, say that they do not go to the border now, but they celebrate by hoisting the flag at their homes.

The festive atmosphere in Chandigarh doubled on seeing India’s victory with Virat Kohli’s century in the India-Pakistan match. As soon as Virat hit a four to give India the victory, people got down from their vehicles and started dancing outside Aroma in Sector-22. People started bursting crackers. People celebrated the victory by bursting crackers in Sector 40.
