One will have to wait for the formation of new districts, sub-divisions, tehsils and sub-tehsils in Haryana. The Home Ministry has banned the formation of new districts and sub-divisions. The 2021 census will start in the country from July 1. According to the 2011 census, the total population in Haryana was around 2 crore 53 lakh. It is believed that the population of Haryana has now reached close to three crores.
Demand to make Matanhail and Prithla sub-divisions
During the question hour in the budget session of the Assembly on Wednesday, two Congress MLAs Geeta Bhukkal and Raghubir Singh Tewatia demanded to make Matanhail and Prithla sub-divisions. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goyal said that a decision will be taken on this only after the census. Former Education Minister and Jhajjar MLA Geeta Bhukkal said that Matanhail is about 35 km from Jhajjar district headquarters.
The committee has given instructions to the administration
He said that Matanhail was made a sub-tehsil in 1984. At present it is a tehsil. He said that in view of the problems of the people, Matanhail should be given the status of a sub-division. The Deputy Government has formed a Cabinet Sub-Committee under the chairmanship of Development and Panchayat Minister Krishna Lal Panwar to create new districts, sub-divisions, tehsils and sub-tehsils. Revenue and Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goyal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mahipal Singh Dhanda are also included in the committee. Two-three meetings of the committee have also been held. The committee has given instructions to the concerned administration to study the demands received from the districts.
