A person from Himachal Pradesh who had come to get his vehicle repaired in Sector 48 Chandigarh’s Motor Market was first beaten up and then robbed of his money at gunpoint. After the accused left, the victim Raju informed the police. The police reached the spot and investigated the crime scene, after which Thana-49 police has registered an FIR against 4 to 5 accused on Raju’s complaint.
The police has seized CCTV footage from around the crime scene, in which the car of the accused who robbed at gunpoint is visible.
Attacked while sleeping
In the complaint given to the police, Raju told that he is a resident of Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh and he works as a driver. His vehicle was having a problem for some days, to get it repaired, he reached Sector-48’s Motor Market on Thursday morning at around 3 am and parked his vehicle in the parking lot and went to sleep.
After some time, 4 to 5 people came and opened the door of the vehicle and started beating him. They had pistols in their hands. They looted Rs 16,000 and stereo battery from him and left.
Swift car seen
In the CCTV footage seized by the police, a white car is seen. First that car is seen entering the market, then after some time it is seen going out after committing the crime. Due to darkness, the lights of the car are on.
