To help save the lives of the injured in road accidents happening every day in Haryana, the government has decided to build trauma centers in 14 districts of Delhi NCR. The Director General of Health Services released a budget of Rs 26 crore 30 lakh for this on Saturday. The necessary equipment for the trauma center will be purchased in hospitals by March 30.
A spokesperson of the Health Department said on Saturday that trauma centers will be built in 14 districts including Faridabad, Gurugram, Jhajjar, Jind, Karnal, Narnaul, Rewari, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Panipat, Sonipat. All districts will have to buy equipment by March 30. Information about this will have to be given to the Health Department. Until a trauma center is built on the National Highway or at any other place of need, these equipment will remain in the civil hospital. National highways and expressways have been built across the state. In case of an accident on the highway, it takes half an hour to bring the injured to the main hospital. During this time, patients also lose their lives. If there is a trauma center near the highway, then they will get treatment within five to ten minutes, which will help in saving the life of the injured.
Budget of Rs 26 crore 30 lakh released
People often lose their lives due to lack of timely treatment in accidents on highways. After an accident on the highway, the injured is first admitted to the district hospital. In case of critical condition, they are referred to PGI. During this, sometimes the patient dies due to excessive bleeding or sometimes due to blood spreading or clotting in the head or inside the body. Modern equipment and medical facilities will be available in the trauma center, due to which there will be more chances of saving the patient’s life. A budget of Rs 26 crore 30 lakh has been released by the Health Department for purchasing equipment needed for treatment in various districts, repairs, lab equipment and necessary material in the blood bank.
