A file containing documents related to Sector-18 Kothi No. 560, which was kept in the store of Udyog Bhawan located in Sector-10, Chandigarh, was stolen. On the discovery of the theft, a case has been registered in Police Station-3 under the sections of theft on the complaint of Tejbir Singh (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Industrial Commerce and Technology, IT Government of Punjab.
Police is investigating CCTV
Police Station-3 has registered an FIR in the case and started investigation. Also, the footage of all the CCTV cameras in the store and the surrounding area is being investigated. All those who are on duty in the store will also be questioned, because the file that has gone missing was related to the documents of the Kothi, which are very important. Since the complaint has been made by the IAS officer himself, the matter becomes big and the police is not taking it lightly.
All those who are visible are being questioned
The police is questioning all those who were seen going around the store on the day of the theft and before that. The police is also investigating from one angle that if the thief had stolen, he would have stolen money or some goods which he could have sold to earn money. But stealing a file containing documents of just one bungalow can only be done by a person who can benefit from it. Therefore, the police is keeping an eye on all those who can benefit from the theft of this file.
