The Punjab government has now made a new policy to bring notorious terrorists and criminals lodged in jails of other states to Punjab. Under this, prisoners lodged in jails of any state can be brought to Punjab. Also, prisoners involved in crimes of those states can also be sent from Punjab.
This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting of the Punjab government today. Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema gave this information. At the same time, reorganization was being done for many posts in the Social Department for a long time. This process has now been completed. All the posts are of A class officers.
31 thousand criminals lodged in jails
Cheema said that 31 thousand prisoners are lodged in Punjab jails, out of which 11 thousand prisoners are lodged in NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) cases. Apart from this, about 200 gangsters, 75 terrorists and 160 big smugglers are lodged in jails. Earlier there was no policy for exchange of prisoners, but with this new policy, now criminals and gangsters will be tightened. Earlier, a list of 46 gangsters lodged in jails of other states has been prepared. Who are hiding in jails of other states to escape from Punjab.
School committees will have 16 members
Apart from this, the number of members of the school committee has now been increased to 16. In this, 12 members will be parents, while 4 members will be from the school. Also, MLA and MC will also be able to send their members in the committee. The chairman will be selected from among the parents, so that MLA and MC can get information about the needs of the school.
At the same time, the vice chairman will be selected from the second category (from the school). Apart from this, the chairman of Punjab Pilgrimage Committee and Punjab Advisory and Tourism Board have decided not to take any honorarium. Apart from this, decisions have also been taken on some other issues.
