Rashtriya Lok Dal, which is a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), has entered Haryana politics on Sunday.
Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Jayant Chaudhary’s message of contesting assembly elections in Haryana arrived with chief organization general secretary Trilok Tyagi, Uttar Pradesh government’s Science and Technology Minister Anil Kumar and Bijnor MP Chandan Chauhan said that soon after the formation of the state executive, Jayant Chaudhary will hold big programs and rallies in Haryana.
Jayant Chaudhary is the grandson of the country’s prominent farmer leader Chaudhary Charan Singh and son of Chaudhary Ajit Singh. Rashtriya Lok Dal is considered to have a strong hold in western Uttar Pradesh.
Former MLA Jagjit Sangwan becomes Haryana president
Former MLA of Charkhi Dadri Jagjit Sangwan has been given the responsibility of the post of President of Rashtriya Lok Dal Haryana. At the Chandigarh Press Club, Trilok Tyagi, Anil Kumar, Chandan Chauhan and Jagjit Sangwan jointly said that after Haryana, the party will increase its political activities in Punjab.
Trilok Tyagi said that under the leadership of Jayant Chaudhary, state units of RLD are being formed across the country. So far, party units have been formed in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Kerala and Telangana.
After Haryana, now the party will meet in Ludhiana, Punjab on May 4, in which many leaders of the state will join RLD, after which the unit of Punjab will also be formed.
Jagjit Sangwan has also been the president of NCP Haryana
Rashtriya Lok Dal Haryana President Jagjit Sangwan has been an NCP MLA from Dadri assembly seat in the year 2000. He has been the state president of the Haryana unit of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for four years and the president of Bhiwani District Congress for 11 years.
Apart from being the Chairman of National Labor Cooperative of India, Director of IFFCO, Kribhco, NCUI, NAFED and Vice Chairman of HAFED, he has got the opportunity to play many responsibilities in the cooperative sector in the country and the state.
Sangwan has also been the president of Dadri College Student Union in the year 1977-79. Trilok Tyagi said that he will revive Lok Dal like it was in Haryana during the time of Chaudhary Charan Singh.
State executive will be formed in a month
The main organization general secretary claimed that leaders of many parties of Haryana are in touch with his party. RLD will contest the elections of Punjab and Haryana with full force. Uttar Pradesh government minister Anil Kumar said that RLD has always strongly supported the demands of the farmers and has stood firmly with the farmers.
Jayant Chaudhary is engaged in expanding the party with full force. Under this, the party is working to take forward the policies and ideology of farmer leader Chaudhary Charan Singh.
Newly appointed president Jagjit Singh Sangwan said that the state executive of the party will be formed in the next one month and within three months, appointments will be made at the district level from presidents to the lower level.
