Amritsar | Amidst tension between India and Pakistan after Pahalgam terror attack, Punjab Police has arrested 2 Pakistani spies. According to the police, both of them were sending sensitive information related to Army Cantt and Air Force base in Amritsar to Pakistan.
A mobile has been recovered from these accused, in which pictures of Army movement and Air Force base have been found. Both of them were connected to ISI through Harpreet Singh alias Pittu alias Happy, who is lodged in Amritsar jail. The accused have been identified as Palak Sher Masih and Suraj Masih.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav confirmed this. He said that a case has been registered in this matter under the Official Secrets Act. Amritsar Rural Police will soon give more information about this.

Police did not find any criminal record
According to the initial investigation of the police, both these youths are drug addicts. Both of them are laborers. That is why there is a suspicion of them being trapped in the ISI net. The police have not found their criminal record yet. Investigation is going on.
Confirming this, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that Punjab Police stands shoulder to shoulder with the Indian Army. Any conspiracy regarding national security will be crushed strictly. Any attempt to tamper with the security of the armed forces will be given a befitting reply.

According to sources, both the accused who were caught have shared the locations of Army Base and Air Force Base from Pakistan. Police has seized the mobile found from them. Information about their other associates can also be obtained from the mobile. Police will also take Harpreet Singh alias Happy on production warrant, so that his Pakistani links can also be revealed.
