Mohali | People of Mohali will have to face water crisis for the whole day tomorrow i.e. on 5th May. During this time, afternoon supply will be stopped, while in the evening there will be supply with low pressure. Water will have to be supplied as per availability on Monday morning.
This decision has been taken by the Water Supply Department. This situation has arisen due to leakage in the water line near Phase-6 of Mohali. To fix it, the department has taken permission for the whole day. Teams have been formed for this work. Also, people have been appealed for cooperation.
People of these areas will have to face problems
Due to leakage in the water pipe, there will be no water supply in Phase 1 to 7, village Madanpura, and Phase Industrial Growth Phase-1 to 5 of Mohali city. In such a situation, there will be no water supply on 5th May, while in the evening water will be supplied with low pressure. This supply will be as per the availability of water.
Similarly, people will have to face problems in the morning on 6 May. The water supply department has appealed to the people for cooperation. At the same time, the municipal corporation officials will keep an eye on the entire situation. If needed, supply will also be done through tankers.
However, a senior officer of the water supply department said that the heat has subsided a bit now. In such a situation, it is expected that people will not have to face much trouble. However, we are planning for all the things, so that the leakage of the line can be removed on priority basis.
