Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has made a big announcement. He said that his government will buy anti-drone systems for the state. This decision has been taken in view of the drone attacks from Pakistan. In these attacks, Pakistani drones and missiles were targeting military bases on the western and northern border. Chief Minister Mann also said that the ‘Farishte Yojana’ for road accident victims will now be extended to war and terrorism victims as well. Along with this, the cabinet has also decided to implement the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and promote maize cultivation.

Let us tell you that there are continuous drone attacks from Pakistan. Therefore, the Punjab government has become even more alert now. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann called an emergency meeting of the cabinet on Friday. This meeting was called in view of the increasing tension on the border. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the Punjab government will soon buy anti-drone systems. These systems will be able to shoot down drones in the air itself.

‘We will buy more systems’

Chief Minister Mann said that Punjab shares a 532 km border with Pakistan. He said that six of our districts are connected to the Pakistan border. The BSF is helping us. The BSF already has anti-drone systems. But we will buy more systems and help the security personnel. Drones will not be allowed to enter our area and they will be shot down. Punjab stands with India.

‘Will work together with the army’

The Chief Minister said that the government is in constant touch with the Deputy Commissioners and Tehsildars of the border areas. He said that we will work together with the army. There is no need to panic, do not pay attention to any rumors. Some shells have been found in the fields, but Punjabis are not afraid of anyone. They have always stood with the country. Punjab will protect the tricolor and its water. We have filled all the vacant posts in the border areas so that we can have full control over the situation.

Chief Minister Mann made another important announcement. He said that the scope of ‘Farishte Yojana’ will be expanded. Now this scheme will also include victims of war and terrorism. He said that in view of the current situation, we have decided that this scheme will also include victims of war and terrorism. Under this scheme, these victims will be given free medical treatment.
