The police administration has become strict regarding the increasing crimes in Panchkula district. In this regard, DCP Panchkula Himadri Kaushik chaired a crime meeting, in which all ACPs, SHOs and in-charges of various branches were present.
In the meeting, DCP Kaushik directed to give top priority to the prevention of crimes like snatching and vehicle theft. He clarified that in case of any criminal incident, the concerned ACP will have to reach the spot himself. Also, emphasis was laid on making the investigation process more effective in pending cases.
According to the police, DCP Crime and Traffic Amit Dahiya gave suggestions to make the investigation process of cyber crimes more effective. He said that based on his previous experience, he will improve the local functioning.
DCP Himadri Kaushik gave many important instructions to further strengthen the security system. These include intensive checking at nakas, ban on illegal mining, curbing liquor smuggling and special campaign against narcotics. Also, special emphasis was laid on identification and monitoring of hotspots regarding women’s safety.
Especially to strengthen law and order, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta companies have been instructed to conduct regular exercises. Along with increasing patrolling in religious places, crowded areas and border villages, strict monitoring has also been asked to be done on social media.
The DCP finally said that the police force will have to remain alert at all times and keep all resources ready to deal with emergency situations. He also emphasized on maintaining communication with the public and creating an atmosphere of trust.
