The Punjab government has taken a big step to stop the burning of stubble. For the first time in Punjab, industries will get a subsidy of up to Rs 5 crore for using stubble. This step of the Punjab government is not only in the direction of keeping the environment clean, but it will give tremendous economic benefits to both the industry and farmers of the state.

In this, subsidy of up to Rs 1 crore will be available per 8 TPH boiler. This will put a brake on pollution caused by burning stubble. The Mann government has appealed that industries running on oil, coal or other biomass should take advantage of this scheme immediately.
