An important meeting of the Punjab Cabinet will be held on Monday at 12 noon at the official residence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in Chandigarh. No agenda of the cabinet meeting has been released yet.
However, this meeting is being described as very important before the by-election to be held in Ludhiana West Assembly constituency.
Meeting was held earlier on 23 May
Earlier the cabinet meeting was held on 23 May. On this visit, an important amendment was approved in the Punjab Management and Transfer of Municipal Properties Rules 2021. Under which it was decided to reduce the time limit for depositing the sale price by the allottees to six months.
The purpose of this decision was to speed up revenue collection by urban local bodies, strengthen the financial position of municipal units and provide convenience to the common people by reducing legal disputes related to late payments.
