Discussing the ongoing development work in the city, he stated that Jalandhar was ranked 117th in the 2016 Swachh Bharat Abhiyan rankings, but now, thanks to the city’s development work, Jalandhar has reached 82nd place in the rankings. He also informed that cycling and walking tracks will soon be constructed at six locations: Model Town to Mithapur Road, Urban Estate, 120 Feet Road, near the PUDA Complex, and from Shri Devi Talab Temple to Pathankot Chowk. Additionally, work on beautifying the entry route to the city from PAP Chowk will also begin soon. The city’s broken roads are being repaired soon. An operation theatre will be constructed in Rama Mandi at a cost of ₹1 crore to address the dog menace. Brajesh Singhal also announced that the Rotary Club will soon construct a Rotary Community Welfare and Vocational Centre near Nakodar Road, where youth will be taught career counselling. Project Director Subhash Sood provided information about various projects, and B.K. Maini expressed his gratitude. Present on the occasion were S.V.
