A shocking incident has come to light from Ludhiana district, Punjab. A young man hired to care for his ailing father raped a young woman in the same house and threatened to kill her entire family if she told anyone or complained to the police.
The victim somehow mustered the courage to tell her family what had happened, after which the family filed a complaint with the Dahalon police station. Based on the victim’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused, Manish Kumar. The family told the police that the girl’s father had been ill for a long time and Manish had been hired to care for him. A few days ago, when the victim’s mother’s health suddenly deteriorated, her brother took her to the hospital. During this time, the accused Manish forcibly raped the young woman, who was alone at home.
According to the victim, the accused threatened to kill all the family members if she complained. The police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused.
