Preparations are complete for the celebrations to be held at Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the city’s fourth Guru, Sri Guru Ramdas Ji. Shiromani Committee Manager Bhagwant Singh Dhangera stated that 10 tons of flowers are being used to decorate Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib, the Parikrama Marg, and the surroundings of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, using various types of flowers brought in air-conditioned vehicles from India and abroad. Bhai Iqbal Singh from Bombay has arranged for this service. He added that Bhai Surinderpal Singh will also be decorating the Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport and the railway station with a variety of colorful flowers. Manager Dhangera also stated that electronic fireworks will be displayed by the devotees of Barnala on October 7th for the inauguration of the Nagar Kirtan, a spectacle the devotees will witness for the first time. He also stated that if the weather is bad, these fireworks will not be used. Therefore, these will be used according to the weather.

Shiromani Committee Manager Bhagwant Singh Dhangera stated that under the leadership of Baba Sarabjit Singh, the Sangat of Karnal have served by installing colorful lights at Amritsar’s Golden Gate, bus stand, and railway station. He added that, in addition, the Sangat of Chamba will, while maintaining decorum, shower flowers on the Nagar Kirtan from aircraft, and the Amritsar Hotel Association will provide approximately 1,000 hotel rooms free of charge to accommodate the influx of Sangat.
