Punjabi actor-singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away on Wednesday, 11 days after being seriously injured in a road accident. Photos of Rajvir Jawanda’s body have surfaced from Fortis Hospital to his Mohali home. In the photos, you can see an ambulance parked outside the house, and Rajvir’s body was brought in the same ambulance.
His body will reportedly be kept for public viewing at his residence in Sector 71, Mohali, today, so that his fans and fellow artists can pay their last respects. His last rites will be performed tomorrow in his native village, Pona, in Ludhiana district. The 35-year-old actor was declared dead at 10:55 a.m. on Wednesday. In an official statement issued around 12:30 p.m., Fortis Hospital confirmed that Jawanda died due to multiple organ failure. On September 27, Jawanda was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Solan district, Himachal Pradesh, while traveling to Shimla on a motorcycle. He suffered head and spinal injuries in the accident. He also suffered a heart attack before being admitted to Fortis Hospital.
Jawanda, a resident of Pona village in Jagraon, Ludhiana, was also known for his songs “Tu Dis Painda”, “Khush Reh Kar”, “Surname”, “Afreen”, “Landlord”, “Down to Earth”, and “Kangni”. Jawanda worked with Gippy Grewal in the Punjabi films “Subedar Joginder Singh” in 2018, “Zind Jaan” in 2019, and “Mindo Taseeladarni” in 2019.
