A teacher teaching at the Government Middle School, Jandwala Sandhuan, a short distance from Faridkot, has been shot. The teacher escaped by running away. Fortunately, no children were harmed in the incident. According to information received on the spot, science teacher Mandeep Singh Batra was present at the school. Meanwhile, a man and a woman arrived and fired two shots at Mandeep Singh’s legs, but Batra escaped unharmed. Hearing the gunfire, the children began screaming. When other teachers, mid-day meal workers, and villagers arrived, the attackers quickly fled. Police arrived at the scene and began an investigation.
Teacher Mandeep Singh explained that Harpreet Singh, with whom he had a previous relationship, arrived with his wife and fired two shots at him inside the school. He then ran for his life. The accused later threw a chair at him and fled the school. Meanwhile, Sadiq police station SHO Navdeep Bhatti said that there was a long-standing rivalry between the two parties, which led Harpreet Singh to open fire on teacher Mandeep Singh. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused, who will be arrested soon.
