Giving details about the viral video on social media showing an elderly man, Harjinder Singh, a resident of Bajeke village under Dharamkot police station, being assaulted and robbed of cash and a mobile phone by motorcyclists, Dharamkot Police Station इंचार्ज Inspector Gurmel Singh said that they have investigated the viral video.
During the investigation, it was revealed that on October 25, when he was going from Fatehgarh Panjtoor to his village Bajeke, some youths on two motorcycles tried to knock him down and then surrounded him, assaulted him, and snatched his mobile phone and Rs. 7-8 thousand in cash. He said that the police are investigating the matter and are examining the CCTV footage from the area. The culprits are expected to be apprehended soon. Further action will be taken based on the statements of the elderly victim.
