It is reported that on Thursday morning around 10:30 am, three masked youths entered the shop and threatened the shopkeeper with a pistol. The fearless youths broke the shop counter with sharp weapons. The shopkeeper saved his life by hiding under the counter. The robbers fled with gold jewelry worth Rs 1 crore and Rs 2 lakh in cash. The entire incident was captured on the shop’s CCTV cameras. News of the incident spread rapidly, and DCP Investigation Manpreet Singh Dhillon, ADCP City 2 Harinder Singh Gill, ACP West Sarwanjit Singh, and police officers from the CIA, Special Branch, and Crime Branch also arrived at the scene to investigate. Shopkeeper Nikhil stated that the robbers took 800 grams of gold jewelry. According to information, Nikhil, son of Vijay Kumar, a resident of New Surajganj, was sitting in his shop when three youths entered and repeatedly threatened him with a pistol. The youths then fled on foot with the jewelry and cash.
Bhargav Camp Residents, Not Police, Tracked Down the Robbers; Two Youths Apprehended
Reliable residents of the area stated that as soon as the CCTV footage of the three robbers went viral, some residents of Bhargav Camp noticed that the three youths captured in the video were roaming around the Bhargav Camp area wearing the same clothes they wore during the robbery. The three changed their t-shirts right there, which the people recognized and informed the police and the victim shopkeeper. According to sources, police have apprehended two young men involved in the incident. Police were still searching for the third suspect at the time of writing. Various police teams are looking for him. It is expected that police officials will hold a press conference on Friday to announce the arrest of the two men who have been apprehended.
