The accident occurred due to a head-on collision between two motorcycles. Both riders died on the spot, while two others sustained serious injuries.
According to reports, the deceased have been identified as Amandeep, a resident of Nahlan village, Noormahal rural police station, Jalandhar district, and Tahir Alam, a resident of Jandiala, Sadar Jamsher Khas police station, Jalandhar district. The injured have been identified as Rahul and Salu, both residents of Jandiala Manjanki, Jalandhar district.
The Noormahal police station in-charge stated that one of the injured has been admitted to a hospital in Jalandhar and the other to a private hospital in Nakodar. Both are reported to be in stable condition. Investigating officer S.I. Gurnam Singh said that the exact cause of the accident will be determined only after recording the statements of the injured.
