The RTO office in Jalandhar has once again come under scrutiny. News has emerged of a driving license being issued to a young man residing abroad. According to reports, a young man from Pakka Bagh has been living in Canada on a student visa for the past six months, but during this time, his driving license was issued with the connivance of agents. Following the revelation of this case, the Transport Department, Vigilance Department, and the RTO office have launched an investigation.
It is reported that the young man from Pakka Bagh, Jalandhar, had a test date scheduled for October 13th, but he was abroad at that time. Despite this, his license was issued without him taking the driving test. RTO records reveal that someone else took the test in his place, and the video recording of that test has also been deleted from the system. This clearly indicates that employees of the department responsible for conducting driving tests may also be involved.
Following the discovery of this case, the RTO officer has ordered an investigation, and a notice has also been issued to the applicant. Questions are also being raised about the fact that applicants usually have to wait a considerable amount of time to get a test date, but in this case, the test date was given and the license issued within a few days. This has raised several concerns, and orders have been given for a thorough investigation to apprehend all those involved in the scam.
