Panic gripped Bajwa Nagar today when a fierce fire suddenly erupted in a building located on Street Number 2. In a matter of moments, the blaze intensified rapidly, sending towering flames and plumes of thick black smoke billowing into the sky. Upon receiving news of the fire, chaos ensued across the entire locality as residents scrambled to flee to safety in a desperate bid to save their lives.
The Fire Department was immediately alerted to the incident, following which fire tenders arrived at the scene with sirens blaring. Due to the narrow lanes in the area, firefighters initially faced significant challenges; however, the courageous personnel quickly took charge of the situation and commenced operations to bring the fire under control. Currently, multiple fire tenders are dousing the site with water to prevent the blaze from spreading to adjacent buildings. While the exact cause of the fire remains unclear, it is suspected that a short circuit may have triggered the accident.
Fortunately, the Fire Department received timely information regarding the incident. At the time of reporting, rescue operations were in full swing, and police officials had also arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Authorities are currently investigating whether anyone was trapped inside the building at the time of the accident, as well as the extent of the loss of life and property damage caused by the fire.
