District Magistrates Must Remain in the Field and Coordinate with the Government for Relief Operations and Other Needs: CM Yogi

Date:

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued directives to the administration on Monday morning regarding the hardships faced by citizens, taking cognizance of the storms, rainfall, and adverse weather conditions that swept across several districts of the state—including Lucknow. The CM instructed the District Magistrates of the weather-affected districts to ensure that the entire administrative machinery remains fully active and to strive, under all circumstances, to minimize the adverse impact of the inclement weather. They must ensure that compensation for loss of human life, livestock, injuries, and disaster-affected individuals is disbursed within 24 hours. There must be absolutely no negligence in this matter.

**The Government Stands with Farmers in Every Situation**
CM Yogi stated that the government stands steadfastly with the farmers and all residents of the state during every adverse situation. While directing administrative officials to remain on high alert, the Chief Minister noted that the adverse weather conditions had led to road accidents in several districts. He directed that relief and rescue operations in these areas be conducted with utmost speed. Furthermore, he mandated that prompt medical treatment for the injured be ensured at nearby hospitals. Farmers and the general public are facing significant difficulties due to the storms and rainfall; every effort must be made to ensure that the adverse weather has a minimal impact.

**Establish Coordination for Relief Operations**
The Chief Minister directed all District Magistrates to remain constantly in the field and personally assess the ground reality. Field officers, too, must visit the areas affected by the inclement weather, engage directly with the local population, and establish effective coordination for relief operations. In the event of any adverse situation or specific requirement, all relevant information must be collected and submitted to the government in a timely manner, thereby ensuring that relief reaches the affected individuals as quickly as possible.
