Amidst the emerging trends of the West Bengal Assembly election results, Mamata Banerjee has made a significant claim. Mamata stated that the initial trends are merely a “facade.” She asserted that the true picture will become clear by the evening. Earlier, leveling serious allegations against the Election Commission (EC), Mamata claimed that the Commission is acting at the behest of the BJP and is deliberately slowing down the vote-counting process.
**Only 13% of Votes Counted; Counting Halted in Several Places**
Issuing her statement, Mamata noted that, based on the information currently available, only 13% of the votes have been counted so far. She further alleged that the counting process has been completely halted at several vote-counting centers.
**An Appeal to Counting Agents**
Appealing to all her party’s counting agents to exercise restraint and remain vigilant, the Chief Minister stated, “No agent should leave the counting center until the counting is complete and the final results have been officially declared.”
