Amidst Changing Weather Conditions, CM Yogi Issues Directives; Orders District Magistrates to Remain in the Field and Provide Immediate Relief

Date:

On Monday, in light of the storms, rainfall, and adverse weather conditions affecting several districts across the state—including the capital, Lucknow—Yogi Adityanath directed the administrative machinery to remain on high alert. The Chief Minister instructed the District Magistrates of the affected districts to ensure that the entire administrative apparatus remains active and to make every possible effort to minimize the impact of the adverse weather.

He explicitly stated that compensation for loss of human life, livestock, injuries, and those affected by the disaster must be provided within 24 hours, emphasizing that there should be absolutely no negligence in this process. According to an official statement, the Chief Minister affirmed that the state government stands firmly with the farmers and residents of the state during every hour of crisis. While directing officials to remain vigilant, he noted that the adverse weather had also led to road accidents in several districts; consequently, he ordered that relief and rescue operations be expedited and that immediate medical treatment be provided to the injured at nearby hospitals.

The Chief Minister further directed all District Magistrates to remain continuously present in the field within their respective jurisdictions to personally assess the situation. Additionally, he instructed field-level officials to visit the affected areas, engage directly with the people, and coordinate relief operations. He emphasized that information regarding any emergency situation must be collected in a timely manner and submitted to the administration so that relief can be delivered swiftly to the affected individuals.
