If the forecast holds true, rain accompanied by strong winds could provide relief from the heat; however, there is also a possibility of disruption to normal life due to the severe storm.
The Meteorological Department has urged people not to venture out of their homes unnecessarily after 10 PM. Residents are advised to avoid standing near trees, old buildings, electricity poles, or hoardings during strong winds. Motorists have also been advised to exercise extra caution during the inclement weather.
