The police have achieved significant success during an ongoing anti-drug campaign in Bathinda district. Acting across various police station jurisdictions, the police arrested seven accused individuals. Recoveries from their possession included 13.53 grams of ‘Ice’ drug (methamphetamine), 124.53 grams of heroin, 5,280 banned narcotic capsules, and five liters of illicit liquor.
According to police officials, this marks the first instance of ‘Ice’ drug seizure in Bathinda district. Sub-Inspector Bhupinder Singh of the CIA-1 staff stated that a police team was patrolling near Kanhaiya Chowk when they stopped a car on suspicion and conducted a search.
