The Railways has decided to run a special train for candidates appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Northern Railway will operate a special unreserved ‘Exam Special’ train between Bathinda and Chandigarh on June 21.
The train will consist of a total of 14 coaches, including 12 general coaches and two SLR (Seating-cum-Luggage Rake) coaches. As it will be a fully unreserved special train, a large number of students and their guardians will be able to travel on it.
According to railway officials, the Bathinda-Chandigarh-Bathinda Unreserved Exam Special (Train Nos. 04556/04555) will run for a single round trip. Train No. 04556 will depart from Bathinda Cantt at 5:30 AM on June 21 and reach Chandigarh at 11:00 AM, passing through various stations along the route. On the return journey, Train No. 04555 will depart from Chandigarh at 7:10 PM and arrive in Bathinda late at night. The train will halt at key stations including Bhuchchu, Rampura Phul, Tapa, Barnala, Dhuri, Nabha, Patiala, Rajpura, Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib, New Morinda, Kharar, and Mohali (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar). This will provide a direct and affordable transport option for candidates traveling to Chandigarh from various parts of Punjab.
