The police have issued a notice to former Rupnagar MLA Amarjit Singh Sandoa, summoning him for questioning in connection with a case involving a prostitution racket. He has been directed to appear before the concerned investigating officer on June 22 at 11:00 AM.
The notice issued by the Rupnagar police states that the investigation into FIR No. 32, registered at the Anandpur Sahib police station on February 17, 2026, is currently underway. Rupnagar SSP Maninder Singh has entrusted the investigation to the SHOs of the Anandpur Sahib and Sadar police stations. According to the notice issued by DSP Deepinder Singh, former MLA Amarjit Singh Sandoa has been called to join the investigation at the specified time. The SHO of Sadar Police Station, Rupnagar, has been assigned the responsibility for the necessary procedural actions, while the SHO of Anandpur Sahib Police Station has been directed to be present at the scheduled time with the records related to the FIR.
