A new update has emerged regarding schools in Punjab amidst the summer break. Intense heat and high humidity persist as the arrival of the monsoon is delayed. Consequently, discussions about extending the summer holidays for schools have intensified.
Currently, summer holidays have been declared in government and most private schools across the state until June 30. However, neither the Punjab government nor the Education Department has made any official announcement regarding an extension of the holidays so far.
Given the ongoing heatwave and the delayed monsoon, parents and teachers are speculating that the government might consider extending the holiday period if there is no immediate relief in the weather. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the coming days, raising hopes for an improvement in conditions. For now, all eyes are on the Education Department’s next directive and the weather situation. If the government decides to extend the holidays, an official notification will be issued.
