BJP National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh held a special meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Sharing details of the meeting in a tweet, Chugh stated that following his election to the Rajya Sabha, he paid a courtesy call on the country’s distinguished Union Home and Cooperation Minister, Shri Amit Shah, to seek his guidance and blessings.
Chugh mentioned that during the meeting, they held detailed discussions on serious issues facing Punjab, such as the deteriorating law and order situation, Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, cross-border drone activity and drug smuggling, the menace of gangsterism, and the safety of ordinary citizens. He also apprised the Minister in detail about the current situation in Punjab and the sentiments and concerns of the people, urging him to take effective measures to ensure peace, security, and good governance in the state.
Punjab—the sacred land of saints, sages, Gurus, and martyrs—is currently grappling with grave challenges such as drug abuse, gangsterism, crime, cross-border sponsored terrorism, and a crumbling law-and-order situation due to the inexperienced, incompetent, and failed government of the Aam Aadmi Party. The people of the state aspire for a safe, prosperous, drug-free, and development-oriented Punjab.
I am fully confident that once the Bharatiya Janata Party forms the government in 2027, a new chapter of good governance, security, development, and public trust will begin in Punjab under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Shri Amit Shah.
