The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has announced an e-auction for three educational plots intended for the establishment of new K-12 and senior secondary schools in Mohali.
Online applications have been invited from interested educational institutions, trusts, societies, and other eligible applicants. The auction will be conducted following a technical and financial bid system, in accordance with GMADA’s Educational Plot Allotment Policy (2025).
The plots placed for e-auction include a 2.50-acre plot in Sector-77 (reserve price: ₹23.74 crore), a 2.00-acre plot in Sector-79 (reserve price: ₹20.71 crore), and a 4.10-acre plot in Sector-66/Beta, IT City (reserve price: ₹48.53 crore). These plots are designated exclusively for the establishment of K-12 and senior secondary schools.
Online bidding will commence at 12:00 PM on July 10 and remain open until 12:00 PM on August 10. Subsequently, technical bids will be evaluated, and the date for opening the financial bids of eligible applicants will be announced separately. The entire auction process will be fully online, transparent, and time-bound. Interested applicants must apply via the Punjab e-procurement portal following the prescribed procedure. GMADA officials state that Mohali is rapidly developing into an education and IT hub. In light of the growing need for new schools, these educational plots are being auctioned to facilitate the establishment of modern educational institutions across various sectors of the city. This will not only provide students with better educational facilities but also strengthen the city’s educational infrastructure.
