A shocking incident of robbery has come to light from the Daba Road area, where a gym owner was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by armed miscreants late at night. The victim, who was returning home after closing his gym, was intercepted by three unidentified youths who attacked him with a *daat* (a heavy, sharp-edged tool), leaving him seriously injured. The miscreants then snatched a 36-gram gold chain from his neck and took ₹36,000 in cash from his pocket before fleeing the scene. Based on the victim’s statement, the police have registered a case against the unidentified robbers and initiated an investigation.
In his complaint to the police, Baljinder Singh stated that around 10:35 PM the previous night, he was riding his motorcycle home after closing his gym. As he reached near Harikrishna Public School on Daba Road, three unidentified youths—who were lying in wait—suddenly surrounded him and forced him to stop his motorcycle. Without exchanging a word, the miscreants launched an attack on the victim. They struck him with a sharp-edged weapon and brutally beat him with kicks and punches.
When the victim fell onto the road, bleeding profusely from the attack, the accused snatched the gold chain (weighing approximately 36 grams) from his neck and took the ₹36,000 cash from his pocket. They then fled under the cover of darkness, threatening to kill him. The police are currently examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras to trace the suspicious youths and their escape route, aiming to arrest the accused soon.
