A team from the BSF’s Amritsar Sector seized heroin worth ₹25 crore near the ‘Army Dhussi’ point at the Kahangarh Border Outpost (BOP). According to reports, a woman and a smuggler were spotted at the scene but managed to flee. They were carrying a polythene bag, which they abandoned at the spot; nine packets of heroin were recovered from it.
The local police have registered a case against a known smuggler in connection with this incident, while a search for the woman is underway. The duo had arrived on a scooter. Notably, an electric scooter had previously been seized along with a heroin consignment in a separate case that remains under investigation.
1.5 kg of ‘Ice’ Drug Seized in Raudanwala Khurd
A BSF team seized a packet containing 1.5 kg of the drug ‘Ice’ in the area of the border village Raudanwala Khurd. This packet had been dropped via a drone but was intercepted by the BSF instead of reaching the smugglers.
