The weather remained pleasant due to localized rainfall in various parts of the city. Temperatures dropped by 3–4 degrees, providing relief from the humid heat that had persisted over the past few days. Most areas of the city experienced moderate to heavy rainfall, with the exception of a few pockets.
Waterlogging occurred in various parts of the city following the rain. Commuters and motorists faced difficulties as water accumulated on roads in several locations. Movement was hampered in low-lying areas due to water stagnation. However, the drop in temperature during the rain made the atmosphere quite pleasant by the evening.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall on September 13 and 14. According to the department, heavy rain is likely in some parts of Punjab. A further drop in temperature is anticipated as rainfall intensifies over the next two days. The department also noted a decline in the state’s average maximum temperature today compared to yesterday.
