The police at the Dorangla station in Gurdaspur district have registered a case of fraud and conspiracy against four individuals for allegedly transferring land using a forged will. This action follows an investigation conducted by the DSP of the Dinanagar sub-division.
According to Investigating Officer Ranbir Singh, the complainant—Satpreet Singh, a resident of Punjabi Bagh, Civil Lines, Patiala—stated that he owns ancestral land in the village of Atari, Amritsar-2 district. It is alleged that certain individuals had a forged will prepared at a typist’s shop in the town of Dorangla. The land in question was subsequently transferred based on this allegedly forged document.
Following the investigation, the Dorangla police registered a case under various sections against Sarabjit Kaur, Sukhpreet Singh (residents of Gurcharan Niwas, Jalandhar, and Dandal Khurd, Jalandhar) and Mani Lal (a resident of Ghazi Gulla, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Division No. 02, Jalandhar), and have initiated further proceedings.
