Ishroop Narang, a young judoka from Chandigarh, will represent India at the Senior World Judo Championship 2026. The 20-year-old will demonstrate her prowess against the world’s top judokas at the event, scheduled to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on October 7 and 8.
Ishroop secured qualification for the International Judo Federation (IJF) World Championship by breaking into the top 100 of the senior world rankings. She is a student at MCM DAV College and represents the Amateur Judo Association of Chandigarh (AJAC).
Ishroop began her judo journey in 2019 and commenced professional training at the junior and senior levels in 2022. Since then, she has rapidly made a name for herself at both national and international levels.
Qualifying for the Senior World Championship marks another major milestone in Ishroop’s rapidly progressing career. With her youth, international experience, and impressive track record, Indian judo holds high hopes for a strong performance from her.
