After targeting police stations and posts in Punjab, now terrorists sitting abroad have started targeting businessmen close to politicians through sleeper cells.
More than a dozen blasts have taken place in the state in the last 50 days. Last night, a person close to MP and former cabinet Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa was targeted in Jantipur, which comes under Majitha assembly constituency. Babbar Khalsa International took responsibility for the blast.
Terrorists planning to carry out a big incident in Punjab
Meanwhile, central intelligence agencies have again shared input with Punjab Police that terrorists are planning to carry out a big incident in Punjab. The police is continuously claiming that all the accused of the attacks have been arrested but despite this the attacks are not stopping.
On the other hand, after getting inputs from intelligence agencies, Punjab Police was instructed to increase the security of police stations and posts. After this, the security of police stations has been tightened across the state, especially in Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Gurdaspur.
Terrorists are carrying out the incidents through sleeper cells
According to Punjab Police officials, terrorists sitting abroad are carrying out these incidents through sleeper cells active in Punjab. Responsibility of these attacks is being taken from abroad.
Punjab Police officials said that at least 483 internet media accounts encouraging gangsters and encouraging violence have been blocked. Some of these were also being operated from abroad. Let us tell you that NIA has placed a reward of Rs 5 lakh on Happy Pashia, who took responsibility for the blasts in Punjab.
When and where did the attacks take place?
24 November: An attempt was made to blow up Ajnala police station with an IED.
26 November: In Amritsar itself, a hand grenade exploded outside a police post that had been closed for six months.
27 November: A grenade exploded in a closed police post in Gurbakhsh Nagar.
2 December: A hand grenade was thrown at Kathgarh police post in Nawanshahr, but it did not explode.
4 December: A massive explosion took place at Majitha police station at night, in which two policemen were also injured.
12 December: A hand grenade was thrown outside Thana Ghaniye’s Bangar in Batala, but it did not explode.
13 December: A grenade exploded at Aliwal Batala police station. Happy Pashiya also took responsibility for this incident.
17 December: An explosion took place at a police station in Islamabad, a residential area in Amritsar, at 3.10 am.
19 December: At 8 pm, there was an explosion in the police post in village Bakshiwal in Gurdaspur which was closed 20 days ago.
20 December: Late at night, there was an explosion in the closed police post in Bangar village Wadala in Gurdaspur.
21 December: There was an explosion at night in the police post of Banga Wadala village in Kalanaur, Gurdaspur.
9 January: Rumor of attack on Gumtala post in Amritsar.
15 January: A liquor businessman was attacked in Jaitinpur.
