A young man riding an Activa died on the spot after being hit by a speeding Porsche car on Chandigarh Sector-4/9 dividing road. In this case, Sector-3 police station has added the charge of culpable homicide (Section 105 of BNS) on the accused Porsche car driver after 7 days.
The accused has been identified as Sanjeev Babuta, a resident of Panchkula. Ankit’s body was cut into two pieces in the accident. The family of the deceased was continuously demanding justice. This section is non-bailable, under which the accused can now get bail only from the court after arrest. Whereas earlier the police had arrested him and granted him bail from the police station itself.
Now he will be arrested again
According to the police station, now the accused car driver will be arrested again under the non-bailable section. The horror of the accident can be gauged from the fact that the collision was so strong that the parts of the Activa were scattered on the road. Even the shoes of the deceased Ankit fell far away. Marks of dragging were found on the road for about 100 meters.
