Car Accident in Mohali Three students of Punjab University died in a horrific car accident in Mohali. The accident occurred on Sunday night at around 1130 pm when a car going from Chandigarh to Kurali crashed near Boothgarh light point. A girl and two youths in the car died on the spot while a young man is seriously injured.

This car crashed near Boothgarh light point in Thana Majri area of Mohali. A girl and two youths in this car died on the spot, while a young man is seriously injured. He has been admitted to PGI, Chandigarh for treatment.
The deceased were students of Punjab University
The deceased in the incident have been identified as Shubham, Rubina, a student of Forensic Science of Punjab University and Saurabh Pandey, a former student of Human Genome Department. The injured youth has been identified as Manvendra, a student of Forensic Science. The bodies of the three deceased have been kept in the morgue of the General Hospital in Phase-6 of Mohali. The police is investigating the matter.
Accident happened due to high speed

At the place where this accident happened, there is a crossroad and the administration has also built speed breakers there to control the speed. People say that the speed of the car at the time of the accident was more than 100 kilometers per hour.
Due to which the car jumped on the breaker and hit the divider. Due to which this accident happened. The car has also been completely damaged in this accident. The police is trying to find out whether the car collided with another vehicle at the time of the incident or such a big accident happened just because of hitting the divider.
Smoking banned in Punjab University
Talking about another news from Punjab University, the Punjab University administration has taken a tough stand on those who smoke and consume drugs on campus and has implemented strict rules. According to the order issued by the Dean Student Welfare Office, now a heavy fine will be imposed for smoking or consuming drugs in public places on campus.
The university administration has made it clear that if any student is found smoking in the market, park, hostel or departments on campus, he will have to pay a fine of Rs 500 for the first time and his parents will be informed. If he is found doing so again, he will be expelled from the hostel.
