Police from Station 3 arrested an accused at a gambling den operating inside a house in Phagwara Gate. Gambling slips and cash were recovered from the accused. A case has been registered against the accused, Harjeet Singh, son of Hardeep Singh, resident of Rasta Mohalla.
Station 3 in-charge Rajinder Singh stated that the accused, Hardeep Singh, previously operated gambling dens at a shop, but due to frequent police raids, the accused left the shop. They received information that Harjeet was running gambling dens at a house in Phagwara Gate.
He stated that the police team took immediate action, raided the house, and arrested Harjeet Singh red-handed while gambling. They recovered ₹1,200 and gambling slips from the accused. He stated that no such illegal activity would be permitted in the police station area.
